Pelting
Dogs with extreme matting covering a majority of their body will incur an extra fee which will be assessed on a case by case basis. This fee may range from 150% to 200% of the base grooming fee depending on complexity and dog behaviour.
Behaviour
Dogs that exhibit challenging and/or aggressive behaviour that require extra time to safely complete their groom will incur an extra fee of $25 per extra 15 minutes.

Spitz Breeds, also known as snow dog breeds, have heavy double coats designed to keep them warm in harsh cold environments.
Due to the nature of their coats, when washing and drying them, it is necessary to perform a de shed to ensure that dead and loose hair is not trapped, leading to matting and a dull flat coat.
A coat that is free of dead and loose hair will dry out to be light and fluffy, and contribute to healthy skin, even temperature regulation and a luscious, vibrant, bouncy coat.

Border Collies
Border collies have a double coat consisting of a softer undercoat and coarser outer coat. They shed these coats continually and often in spring and autumn they will have a heavy seasonal shedding as they adjust to changes in weather.
As they age, different areas of their coat may become wiry and difficult to manage and be prone to matting. Trimming is recommended to reduce the density or length of hair in these problem areas.
Given these factors a border collie requires a de shed with every bath and dry, to ensure dead and loose hair is not logged into the living coat accelerating matting, suffocating the skin and trapping dirt and dead skin cells. A light fluffy coat allows for airflow, temperature regulation, healthy skin and strong vibrant hair.
